Lowongan Kementerian Kelautan

The Djuanda Declaration, 13 December 1957, stated that Indonesia is an Archipelagic State. It is stipulated that the body of water surrounding, within and connecting the islands of Republic of Indonesia is inseparable part of the Republic of Indonesia territory as one united country. The concept of archipelagic state is recognized in the United Nation Convention on The Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) on December 10th 1982 and ratified with Republic of Indonesia Act Number 17, in the year1985.This recognition presents a broad responsibility in order to manage, secure and sustainably utilized the Republic of Indonesia’s territory and all of its resources. It requires great maritime capability, supported by developed human resources, large amount of financial resources and modern technology.

There are four underlying and important reasons for the establishment of MMAF:
1.Indonesia, with 17.508 islands and 81.000 Kilometers of shoreline, is the biggest archipelagic state with immense marine natural resources which have not been optimally and sustainably utilized.
2.Several decades ago, Indonesian development program focused more on land in which land-based natural resources are largely depleted or dangerously exhausted. That is why marine natural  resources are important to be the capital for the future development plan.
3.Indonesian population growth, coupled with the growing consciousness of how fisheries products can significantly contribute to human health and intelligent, ensure that marine and fisheries sector would play an increasingly important role in the future.
4.Coastal and marine region are very dynamic, with immense natural resources and great amount of problems which arises during the extraction activities. These problems should be address immediately and decisively for the sake of sustainable and responsible utilization of coastal and marine natural resources.

The MMAF mission, functions, organizational structures and its position in the cabinet are determined by Presidential Decree No.165 in the year 2000 issued in 23 November 2000. The Presidential decree No.9 in the year 2005, stipulated that the main mission of the MMAF is: “To Assist the President (of the Republic of Indonesia) in holding the process of governance in the Marine and Fisheries sector”

The Functions of the MMAF are:
1.The formulation of national policy, implementation policy and technical policy in the Marine and Fisheries sector;
2.The implementation of the governance affairs in the Marine and Fisheries Sector;
3.The management of state-owned properties under MMAF;
4.The supervision of MMAF mission implementation;

Recruitment KPU & Bawaslu

Module I (MT I) BRIDGE Training was organized by Electoral Commission at Senggigi, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on May 25th-28th 2011. This Election’s Training was initiated by Electoral Commission’s Human Resources Bureau by fund allocation supported by Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Prof. Dr. Hafiz Anshary AZ, MA, Chairman of Electoral Commission said there are at least four directions that would be reached by Electoral Commission through this training. First is to increase skill and confidence. Second is to increase the awareness of using the instruments and important resources to continuously preserve the election culture. Third is to improve the supporting network for the stakeholders in holding the election and learning to share information. Fourth is to promote some democracy principles and the good election practices that have known internationally.

In this training held at Hotel Santosa Senggigi Lombok, there were four subject modules, namely Election Administration’s module, voter’s registration’s module, voter’s education’s module, planning and strategic budget’s module.

AEC Country Director for Indonesia, Patrick Satie expressed his happiness because AEC takes part in the program. “AEC support in the Electoral Commission BRIDGE is a part of Australian-Indonesia Support Program which has started since 2008. The form of this cooperation is co-sharing, that is by providing support in several aspects which are not allocated in the State Budget.

The participants of MT I were from Provincial Election Commission: Central Java, DKI Jakarta, East Nusa Tenggara, DI Yogyakarta, East Kalimantan, and 20 Regional Election Commission for all-West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This program was taken part by 25 participants and guided by 5 BRIDGE trainers that have been accredited by the Electoral Commission (KPU).

Manager of AEC for Indonesia, Mareska Mantik explained in her speech that MT2 is a result of a long process started in 2010 when this program was initiated by election MDP-UNDP facility. Meanwhile, in the next couple of years, starting in early 2011, the BRIDGE program will be continued by AEC, the partner of BRIDGE. Hopefully the training activities will be frequently held to increase human resource in electoral committee. The cooperation system between AEC-Electoral Committee is co-sharing form, which is the help doesn’t exist in allocation of fund.

The participants of MT2 consisted of 15 members of District/City Electoral Committee of West Java, 5 from district/city electoral committee secretariat of West Java, and 5 from electoral committee of Central Java, DKI Jakarta, NTT, Lampung, and Bali.

The Electoral Committee has a list of activities along 2011, for instance the trainings will be held in DKI Jakarta, Central Java, and the other provinces that have been listed in BRIDGE schedule program.
